Why I Choose to be a Part of The Good Green Community!

My Friend Natasha (from Clearwater Events) co-founded The Good Green. It is a virtual community of like-minded entrepreneurs, event professionals and small businesses who strive to protect and preserve our planet.

They’re a judgement-free community that aims to empower business owners to put their eco-values first, and run sustainable, earth-kind businesses.

And if you know anything about me, well you know I support all of those things.

1. Eco-Values First

The method I follow is always figuring out the top 3 – 5 eco-values that are most important to you as an individual, business owner or event planner. Just like how each person is unique, so are one’s values. Once you figure it out, you can use this as a north-start or guiding light and I firmly believe that this is the perfect place to start.

Since the Good Green Community also approaches environmental sustainability from this lens, we’re in complete alignment.

2. Judgement-Free

There’s nothing like being turned off from a movement or good cause because a highly sought after leader in the space is snobby and makes you feel like you’re not enough.

This is another reason why I joined the Good Green Community.

No one is perfect, we’re all doing the best we can with the resources that we have.

If you’re interested in this space, know that an eco-friendly lifestyle or business takes TIME. And no matter what stage of it you’re in, it’s important to be surrounded by a group of people who can support you without judgement because we know exactly what you’re feeling!

3. Education & Empowerment

You know that old saying, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime” and there’s nothing like empowering other individuals to carve their own path within the environmental movement!

It all starts with education and The Good Green has a list of FREE resources.

I love being able to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated through the years to empower others to make their own eco-friendly choices.

So there you have it! I’ve not only joined but taken on a leadership role as the Community Manager with The Good Green because of my alignment with:

  1. Eco-Values First
  2. Judgement-Free
  3. Education & Empowerment
