HERE'S AN EASY WAY TO TALK ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY
WITH YOUR TEAM
AND INSPIRE ACTION

For companies that are trying to meet the sustainability goals that have been established but struggling to bring those values into practice at the employee level

SETTING THE SCENE

I want to help you meet your sustainability goals and translate your values into actions.

Because in the office, employees purchase their daily coffees, they only have single-use plastic cups for someone’s retirement party, constantly upgrade their electronic devices and don’t even sort their trash into the right bins!

Maybe your organization is making shifts to become greener. From making the switch to compostable packaging, going zero waste, reducing food or electronic waste or the overall carbon footprint, the mandates are happening.

But you need to get your employees onboard so that they support the greater goals of your company.

BUT HOW?!

Together we can solve that problem over lunch,

a series of personalized sustainability workshops

These are simple, actionable workshops are a great opportunity to explore an environmental cause that your business is prioritizing in your sustainability that is both fun and accessible for your team.

Here’s a list of topics that I cover:

  • Food Loss and Waste
  • Recycling , Single-Use Plastic and Packaging
  • Eco-Friendly Event Planning
  • Electronics, Office Supplies and Furniture or “A Zero Waste Office”
  • Other Sustainability Topics*

*Based upon your organization’s goals and values can be made available upon request

Once your employees understand how the collective actions of each individual can impact the sustainability goals, they are more likely to participate and ultimately support the company in achieving its sustainability targets.

The sustainability mastermind was a great way to engage in my interest in being more eco-conscious and mindful about my habits. Each month we tackled a new topic and really dove into how we can make changes in our daily lives that connect us with our values and goals. It gave me tangible ways to improve and think about my actions on a micro level.

PART 1

YOUR GOALS & TOPIC SELECTION

In our first 30-minute video call, we will discuss your company’s overarching sustainability goals and the topic that would be most suitable.

During our second 30-minute call we will determine how best to personalize the workshop and tailor it to your organization’s needs as well as confirm workshop dates.

PART 2

IMP(ACT) WORKBOOK

Two weeks prior to the first workshop, participants will be sent an Imp(act) Workbook which will give them an introduction to the topic, activities to evaluate understanding as well as instructions for a quick auditing exercise in preparation for the live call.

PART 3

FIRST WORKSHOP

At the beginning of this 90-minute workshop, we will use the first 60-minutes to review the content from the first Imp(act) Workbook then dive into the lesson on the topic of choice with personalized examples from your company and suggested solutions in alignment with your company goals.

After a quick break, participants will be sent the accompanying second Imp(act) Workbook. For the remaining 30-minutes, together as a group we will brainstorm and mastermind experimental actions and goals to try for the next four weeks.

PART 4

SECOND WORKSHOP

For this 60-minute workshop, the first portion will be dedicated to collectively sharing. All participants will describe their experience from the last four weeks with the group – what actions worked, what experiments didn’t and reflect why.

This will be followed by a quick lesson on applying the topic and concepts in future scenarios.

In the accompanying third Imp(act) Workbook, your team members will be encouraged to continue the actions that worked, as well as set new goals for the future.

CASE STUDY: HERE'S HOW WE LUNCHED WITH LINDT

PROBLEM

For Lindt, we decided to focus on the topic of Food Loss and Waste because Lindt's overarching goal across the company is to reduce food loss in its supply chain. They wanted employees to connect with the goal and recognize the importance of their collective actions.

SOLUTION

After reviewing the content from the first Imp(act) Workbook, participants shared the results from their self-audit including the struggles and issues with food waste at home. Then I discussed proactive solutions to reduce food waste in the home and office. After a small break, we came together as a group to brainstorm actions to try for the next four weeks.

OUTCOME

A month later, participants collectively shared how they could see vast improvements to the amount of food wasted. Although not all the experiments were successful, together we brainstormed adjustments as well as new actions to try instead. We concluded the session with ways to continue applying these actions in the future.

I really enjoyed my experience learning from Romina of Eco-Friendly Events! She is a skilled and knowledgeable presenter, who provided a ton of amazing information about how to incorporate more eco-friendliness into any gathering. It was inspiring to learn about ways to mitigate our impact on the environment in ways big and small. If you're interested in learning ways to reduce your carbon footprint and be kinder to the planet, I highly recommend working with Romina.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Although one-time workshops can offer valuable information to your team, it lacks the accountability for individuals to take action and move the needle forward toward the company’s sustainability goals.

Contact us and let’s chat! Depending on the topic we may be able to support, if not we’d be happy to forward you any recommendations if it is beyond our scope.

Outside of the two live workshops. You will be required to conduct a self audit for one week as well as some reflection questions that shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.

Depending on the individual actions chosen, the time to experiment will vary.

That being said, the more time and effort spent on the activities outside of the live workshops, the better the outcome!

This is absolutely a safe space. Each person and company’s sustainability journey must start somewhere and we believe in meeting our clients where they are. We want to empower you with the information and knowledge to take action and maintain those habits into the future!
